The BRW FT-MS-E is a marriage between the classic F4 oval hole mandolins and the modern F-Style. The BRW FT-MS-E used the same body and neck as the FT-MS but substitues and oval hole for f-holes. The 15th fret neck joint combined with an X-brace blends the deep cavernous tone of an oval hole with percussive “chop” of the standard F-Style. Unlike many oval hole mandolins the midrange remain full and "poppy" giving the tone a true hybrid sound. The standard F-Style body and elevated fingerboard arrangment ensures that is is a well balance instrument that can be played to suit a variety of musical styles. |
